Volunteer with Us
We rely on volunteers to deliver our Sunday sessions and also for supportive roles in administration, finance and collecting supplies. We have many student volunteers from both the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University, besides community-based volunteers from all ages and backgrounds. No previous voluntary experience is needed, although we particularly welcome those who would be able to serve as a cook or who have additional skills they can offer our guests (e.g. hairdressing). Volunteering for the Sunday sessions involves serving on the tea/coffee bar, interacting with guests, washing cups, serving the meal and wiping down/ sweeping up afterwards. There is no obligation however, for you to do any role which you do not wish to. All relevant training and guidance is provided. If you would be interested in volunteering during the Sunday sessions, please fill in the form below and one of our volunteer coordinators (Michael and Laura) will get back to you to arrange an introductory visit to the Centre.
If you are unable to volunteer for the Sunday sessions but would like to assist the project in a fundraising capacity, please contact the Sunday Centre Fundraising Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
