Donations of Goods
We welcome donations of goods that may help our guests whether they are from individuals, community organisations, local businesses or national companies. Donations of long shelf-life foodstuffs (e.g. biscuits, cereal bars, chocolate bars, pot noodles etc.) or toiletries (e.g. shampoo, soap, toothbrushes/paste) are always gracefully received as they can either be held as emergency food support for our guests or added to supplement the items in the takeaway bags we hand out each Sunday. If you would like to make a donation of goods to The Sunday Centre, please contact our Chairman, Steve, by email to email@example.com.
We are constantly seeking ways to raise our profile within Sheffield and to increase general awareness about our work. If you would like to represent The Sunday Centre as a speaker at a society meeting, Church group or community event, we would be glad to hear from you. Our project relies on donations and does not receive any Government support. Besides the ongoing costs to run the sessions, funds are also required for administration, printing and insurance. If you would like to make a donation or undertake a sponsored event for The Sunday Centre, please contact our Fundraising Committee at email@example.com.
You can also donate into our PayPal Giving Fund, where 100% of donations come directly to us.
Are you looking for a unique way to appreciate someone special or to celebrate a momentous occasion? Consider sponsoring one of our
Sunday sessions! It costs approximately £300 to run each of our sessions in Victoria Hall, including the costs of renting space in Victoria Hall, insurance, cleaning materials, as well as the contents of the takeaway bags.
Each of our guests is offered a takeaway meal that contain a nutritious, balanced, hot meal (both meat an vegetarian options are available) along with two pieces of fruit (e.g. a banana and an orange), cake, a chocolate treat, fruit juice, a bottle of water, and bread & butter. This equates to roughly £3.50 per takeaway bag provided to each of our guests.
We offer a range of sponsorship options which include a personalised certificate for the recipient, with details of the gift and the session it supported. To find out more, please contact the Fundraising Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
£35 – sponsor 10 guests receive a takeaway meal each for one Sunday
£50 – sponsor 14 guests to receive a takeaway meal each for one Sunday
£100 – sponsor 1 guest to receive a takeaway meal each Sunday for 6 months
£300 – sponsor a Sunday! – the perfect way to mark an important birthday, anniversary, etc.
